Patient Health & Safety: COVID-19
Last Updated: November 2023
The following measures have been adopted in addition to our standard infection control protocols for the safety of our patients & staff as our top priority in response to COVID-19.
Looking for a dentist who will prioritize your health & safety?
Scheduling
We are scheduling patients in such a way to ensure minimal to no patient cross over in the waiting room or at check out.
The Day of your Appointment
Once you arrive in our waiting room, we will meet you already in our Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and promptly take you back to your room. All rooms have air purifiers and doors that close.
Protocols and Equipment

Our standard sanitizing protocols, that we have always used to clean our patient rooms and instruments, easily take care of COVID-19 and we will continue to do what we have always done. In addition to this, however, waiting room door handles and all transaction counters will be regularly wiped down after patients.
With our new office, we have 2 forms of air purification that are constantly at work in the background. With our new HVAC system, we chose to invest in an HVAC integrated needlepoint bipolar ionization (NPBI) technology which removes impurities from the air including viruses (including COVID-19), bacteria, mold and pollen, all while generating no ozone!
The second form of air purification is a high velocity air purifier that is in each room. These air purifiers are rated to turn the air over completely in a 540 square foot room every 12 minutes. Our rooms are much smaller than this and our treatment rooms now have doors on them which allow for a MUCH faster turn-over of the air.
Taken together, these 2 forms of air purification result in some of the cleanest air you can breathe!

You will notice that our PPE looks different than it did before the pandemic. Our Office Manager will be wearing a surgical mask (she is happy to wear an N-95 upon request!) and the rest of us will be wearing N-95s during patient encounters.
All of these precautions meet and exceed all current recommendations from the CDC, NIOSH, OSHA and the ADA. We may look different and sound different (It can be hard to talk under all that equipment!), but we are still the same friendly team you’ve always been used to.
