We are open for all of your dental care needs
We are open during our normal business hours. We are practicing with enhanced PPE and precautions in place to make Red Oak Dentistry your premiere Dental Practice if you have concerns about the COVID-19 Pandemic including the Delta Variant.
Ready For You Next Trip To The Dentist?
All of the following changes have been made as a precaution, as the safety of our patients and staff is our top priority. Here are some of the changes that you can expect as we re-open:
There have been some changes to scheduling and check-in to account for COVID-19. We are scheduling our patients in such a way to ensure no patient crossover in the waiting room or at check-out.
If you have an upcoming appointment, there may be some changes to your actual appointment time as we shuffle things to minimize patient interactions. For patients with upcoming appointments, you will receive a text through our system with your appointment time. If that time does not work for you, please contact Alex, our Office Manager, to work out a better time for you.
Once your appointment has been scheduled, Alex will call you 24 hours before your appointment and ask you a series of screening questions including if you have had any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who has had active COVID-19.
The Day of your Appointment
- When you arrive for your appointment, please wait in your car and call our office when you first arrive to minimize interactions with other patients. We will let you know when you can come up. One of us will meet you at the door of our suite and close the door behind you.
- Please bring a mask or face covering with you, if you have one, on the day of your appointment and please wear it once inside our building as you navigate to and from Red Oak Dentistry.
Once in our waiting room, you will notice some changes. We will meet you already in upgraded Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) with hand sanitize for your hands and either take your temperature with a touchless thermometer or use a pulse oximeter to check your oxygen saturation to screen further for COVID-19. Both instruments are quick and non-invasive. All staff are also being screened daily.
Protocols and Equipment
Our standard sanitizing protocols, that we have always used to clean our patient rooms and instruments, easily take care of COVID-19 and we will continue to do what we have always done. In addition to this, however, waiting room door handles and all transaction counters will be regularly wiped down after patients.
With our new office, we have 2 forms of air purification that are constantly at work in the background. With our new HVAC system, we chose to invest in an HVAC integrated needlepoint bipolar ionization (NPBI) technology which removes impurities from the air including viruses, bacteria, mold and pollen, all while generating no ozone!
The second form of air purification is a high velocity air purifier that is in each room. These air purifiers are rated to turn the air over completely in a 540 square foot room every 12 minutes. Our rooms are much smaller than this and our treatment rooms now have doors on them which allow for a MUCH faster turn-over of the air.
Taken together, these 2 forms of air purification result in some of the cleanest air you can breathe!
You will notice that our PPE looks different than it did before the pandemic. Alex, our office manager, will be wearing a surgical mask and the rest of us will be wearing N-95 respirators and face shields or a Powered Air Purifier Respirator (PAPR).
All of these precautions meet and exceed all current recommendations from the CDC, NIOSH, OSHA and the ADA. We may look different and sound different (It can be hard to talk under all that equipment!), but we are still the same friendly team you’ve always been used to.
